Robbery !!! ... They do happen.

And last nights fight (rosado/love) was a prime example. Just here me out before we get the whole " a close fight can't be considered a robbery" ... SOMETIMES IT CAN ! Especially in a ten round fight.

You can make a case for any 10 round fight being close. 5-5 is as close as it gets (draw)... 6-4 ok still close right ? ... 7-3 robbery territory ? Or is it a lot of rounds could've went either way ?

But here's the thing what if the rounds that fighter A won couldn't have gone either way ??? and he won 5-6 CLEAR ROUNDS and also scored a knockdown. And fighter B won 4-5 rounds just by being a little more active (not dominant)... FIGHTER B WINS !

The only way fighter B can get the win is If a judge or a few judges gave him rounds he obviously didn't deserve. That is pretty much the definition of a robbery ! Taking something that belongs to someone else.

Idk I realize I'm not reinventing the wheel with what I'm saying right now... But robberies do happen... Some fights are too close to call... And other fights are close ... but its clear who won !

Calling a bad decision a robbery nowadays is like questioning the government without sounding like a conspiracy nut job ... You can't.

I HATE when people say a close fight can't be a robbery. Yes it absolutely 100% can. If a guy wins 7 clear rounds, and there's no denying he won 7 rounds, even if the other 5 all go the other guy's way, and he loses, he was robbed. I don't care if it was a 1 point robbery, it is still a robbery.

Robberies do happen but sorry, this one was not a robbery. It was a close fight but Love won most of the early rounds leading up to the knock down.

Now, I wouldn't of been mad either way, I just think people fail to realize that boxing is a 12 round or 10 round affair and it's easy to see a knockdown and be swayed by that.

I do think the scoring was off, but I'm not upset that Love got the nod. I think it was a very, very close fight and some of those rounds were incredibly hard to decide.

I had it 95-94 Love with Rosado needing a KD in the 12th to make it even.

There's robberies, but last night was more of a hometown decision. I scored it to Rosado by 1 pt. That can still be a robbery if Rosado won 5 clear cut, but I gave him several rounds that were borderline (same with Love). It was more like Martinez Murray, the loser didn't really lose but no clear cut robbery like Rios Abril, Bradley Pac, PWill Lara, Cloud Campillo, etc. All those fights weren't even close, even 7-5 would have been generous.

The last fight I felt that way about was Barthelemy-Usmanee. I thought it was a very close fight -- closer than many people would agree -- but I believed it was a clear win for Usmanee.

Rosado needed a kd in the 12th in a 10 round fight?

Under the circumstances you just described, it would be a robbery; but few fights go without a couple of swing rounds.

That's my thing the fights you mentioned weren't even close and were clearly robberies. But I also believe that in certain cases even 7-5 / 6-4 fights can be considered robberies. Maybe love/rosado wasn't the best example I only watched it once last night, I was drinking, and I was pulling for Rosado... But a Devon/Mathysse fight was one of those situations where the fight was close in terms of how many rounds were won but the Lucas won more rounds [B]clearly [/B. And scored a kd... It's kind of hard to not call that a robbery ... Or at least IMHO.
