Mares should be doing everything in his effort to convince Richard to make a Rigo fight happen... i mean he did lose "controversially" (17-7) in the amatuers to Rigo.

Mares doesn't win that one. He gets devastatingly knocked out. He was having serious trouble with Ponce. And although he knocked him out, he couldn't stop the left hand.

Is Mares good, yeah he is. But don't judge donaire on his last fight, donaire is a class. He's last fight, he fought someone who was superior to him. Bottom line. Donaire was outclassed by a elite. Mares is no where near the elite class. So sorry. he can be hit, he can be hurt, and donaire can hit and he can hurt, and hurt bad I might add.
