He did not injure it badly. He easily made a fist and showed it to Jim Gray. That is nothing a few weeks will not take care of.

He used the Grant Punchers Glove instead of their normal glove. I knew this was going to happen. I'm surprised he picked this one. He always chooses their normal glove.

If its not Canelo I would actually prefer he take a year off.

That way Marquez/Bradley, Canelo/Cotto, Khan/Alexander and Garcia/Matthysse/Pete would all take place and give him better options.

Impossible. From here to September is 4 months...a swollen hand at 26 you'd need at least 6 months. A swollen hand at 36...4 months is asking for him to come in at only 70-80%. Even though at 70% Floyd could still beat any one from 140-147, but I don't know about the huge 170 pounders of 154 like Canelo and Trout.

4 months is nothing man. At 36, Floyd needs more time to heal that hand. It is such a thing of beauty when it's healthy, but when he hurts it he is forced to box and kinda stink up the place.

Well he could easily fight in December. I trust Paulie when he said Floyd's hands didn't look so bad he couldn't fight this year.

No way does Canelo beat Floyd taking off 2/3 a round. I mean, Floyd will be teeing off on him, and Canelo still looks like a deer in head lights when he gets hit a lot of times.

I wouldn't mind seeing Floyd fight the Peterson/Lucas winner later this year.

I don't think he's lying about the hand, but I never believed he would fight in September regardless of the injury. I could maybe buy that he really does want to fight again this year like in December, but no way he 4 months after his last fight. I think Golden Boy is just using Mayweather's name to keep anyone else from reserving the Sept 15th date.

I'm changing my stance on the Mayweather-Canelo fight. I had it a 60/40 fight in favor of Canelo before, but now i think it's a 50/50 fight or 55/45 fight in favor of Floyd. Guerrero isn't an elite fighter and no one thought that he had a chance of pulling off the upset, but this fight was more about what Floyd had left in the tank and he proved me wrong. He looked like the Floyd from the JMM/Hatton fights.
