  • Comments Thread For: Gamboa To Broner: Why So Much Noise? Let's Fight!

BoxingScene.com recently caught up with WBA interim-super feather weight champion Yuriorkis Gamboa (22-0) who faces Darley Perez (28-0) on June 8th in Montreal as part of a HBO televised doubleheader that will be headlined by WBC light heavyweight champion Chad Dawson facing Adonis Stevenson.

Gamboa has spent most of his career campaigning as a featherweight but moved up to 130 pounds in December when he defeated Michael Farenas on the Manny Pacquiao-Juan Manuel Marquez 4 undercard. The bout against Perez will be fought at the lightweight limit of 135-pounds. Gamboa said that he doesn't have trouble making weight and that he is moving up so that he can be involved in the best possible fights. [Click Here To Read More]

Last time Gamboa called anyone out of merit (Rios) he ducked. Thus, lets take this with a grain of salt!

Gamboa is far too small for 135, but he still wins that fight. Speed kills.

Broner remains busy looking for easy targets though, when he decides to fight a top guy, Gamboa is there.

I don't see Broner moving back down to 135, so unless Gamboa is willing to move to 140 he can forget this fight.
