Is Wlad a one fight per year, PPV fighter like Mayweather? NO, he is pretty active and the guys you mentioned are coming up next. All in due time.
All Fury has to do is not give in to Wilder's taunts, hold on to his ranking and he will be next. Well maybe after Povetkin. That is if Alexander doesn't find a way to chicken out of the fight again. But I doubt it since he is in his mid 30's and can't afford to drop his "regular WBA Title". This is it for him. Boxing's grim reaper has come to pay him a visit.
By the way, THE FACT that he is NOT fighting the guys you mentioned is what makes them attractive opponents now. They've had time to build themselves up.Comment

The fact that you think that he is "ducking" or avoiding certain fighters, is what will make them good victories later on. If these guys keep winning, and building up their record, they will be stronger challengers on paper and we won't have to talk about how Fury or Pulev are just the same as Pianetta is.

Wlad best fight is against Haye and he fought a very disciplined fight and I give him credit for using his jab and keeping Haye at bay by running away, he did what he had to, i'm sure they will meet for a rematch sooner or later
Since then he has fought bums or oldies with minimal risk, I wouldn't mind seeing Fury against Wlad
Even Fury, Price, Pulev and Wilder would knock out PianettaComment

Even though Haye hasn't accomplished squat in comparison to Wlad, he is acting as if he is Floyd Mayweather. Like he only has to fight once ever year or two. So yes, if he is gonna make rare appearances, it better be someone good.
This doesn't apply to Wlad, who has basically cleaned out the 2007-2011 crop of contenders and has went on a rinse-repeat mode by knocking them off again. The new crop (Pulev, Fury, Povetkin [<---he would've been part of the 2007-11 crop had he not ducked Wlad]; and soon Deonte Wilder) is just starting to come into their own. It's a good thing that these match up's have had time to marinade. If he had beaten Fury a year or two ago, it wouldn't nearly been as good. And Pulev is earning his stripes instead of being rushed into a title shot without having beaten anybody.Last edited by cupocity303; 05-04-2013, 01:20 PM.Comment

Haye is a 20-something wins fighter. He still has rookie type numbers. Wladimir is almost at 60 wins.

Haye can sell out stadiums, so the fact is he has the right to act the way he does because people pay to see him fight. Wlads biggest pay day is against Haye and his second biggest payday will be in a rematch with Haye, and if Vitali fights Haye, that will also be his biggest payday since Lennox.
Like it or not Haye sells and even more so now because of his stint in the reality tv programme and after knocking out Chisora and showing Vitali how it should be done.Last edited by FrankieBruno; 05-04-2013, 01:28 PM.Comment

Floyd Mayweather can fight 29-0 Leonard Bundu as well, providing he fights twice or three times per year, defending his Welterweight Title.
Wlad could not fight Pianetta if he was a PPV once-per-year type champion. He would be stripped of his titles one by one anyway (Yes Jack Demsey, I'm talking to you.)
All in good time people. It used to be that there is literally nobody for the brothers to fight and that they need to retire or fight each other. Look what has happened sine. The tune has slowly but maturely changed. Every post has Pulev, Fury, Povetkin's name in it. All undefeated fighters. Not fighting them has been the best thing that has happened to Wlad.Comment

Pianeta is a laughable defence of a title and I, like many others, disapprove of this. That's not trolling. It's an opinion and a widespread one too. It's ones like yourself and the alts that ruin it for the brothers with your extreme bias and double standards.Comment

Although I'm not entirely sure that this is true, IT'S STILL A GOOD THING.

Where have I ever said he was ducking anyone? You might want to do your homework next time.Comment
