the layman hates a heel-persona that is unbeatable, and that's what Floyd is at 147, unbeatable. Guerrero is a worthy opponent, and his success will be determined by his gameplan tonight. If he bum rushes Floyd in a straight line, totally giving up his southpaw advantage, then he deserves to lose. I hope he isn't buying into what Pops is trying to put into his head (ala "Street Fight"). People say "don't try to out-box Floyd", but really the last person who tried this was Marquez and he did a terrible job of it.

if Guerrero fights like he did against Litzau, strong jab, fighting off the back foot with good defense, this fight will be amazing

Unless Mayweather has got old since the Cotto fight, he's simply too good.

May not be what some want to hear, but Guerrero's only chance is if Mayweather isn't the same.

It's staggering there's a Guerrreo thread where many predict an upset tonight. yes it's possible- one punch, Mayweather's age, and all that. But that's about all Guerrero's chances consist of.
Watch some of Guerrero's older fights, he is a very good boxer capable of much more than just slugging it out in a phone booth.

Definitely. Too many people basing their opinion solely on the Berto fight. Guerrero a very adaptable fighter.

Just an example (footage) of him utilizing an effective jab and countering. There are plenty of other fights, that's just the first one I grabbed...many people seem think he is only capable of fighting like he did against Aydin and Berto.

                  it already went in 2002
and Guerrero should just worry about not getting KTFO
that's the best he can hope for in this fight, he's not winning this
and after he loses, put a muzzle on his dad
these big mouth fighters' fathers are getting annoying

you're right, guerrero has skills beyond what he showed in the Berto fight. In fact, he's highly accomplished and against most fighters outside of floyd I would pick robert.

The problem is if he plays the jab and counter game he's going to have a long night when his counters don't come off but floyd's do. And he'll get frustrated easily. However much floyd might have aged, he still shoots his right and clips his hook as fast as most boxers jab.

I think he'll take the cotto approach and seek to tear mayweather up with mass, physicality and pressure. And from what the Berto fight showed us, he relies heavily on his chin when playing that game.
