  • Comments Thread For: Guerrero: The Pressure is All On Mayweather, Not Me!

Robert Guerrero says the pressure is on Floyd Mayweather ahead of Saturday's fight at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas.

Mayweather puts his unbeaten record on the line against the 'Ghost' in his first fight since his incarceration last June on a battery charge.

The Michigan native will be looking to extend his 43-0 record but Guerrero insists he is not fazed by taking on the best pound-for-pound fighter on the planet.

"The pressure's on him to stay undefeated and keep his legacy," said the Californian. "He signed a big contract and he's got a lot of stuff to fulfil. I've dealt with losses and come back so it's not on me, it's on him.

Of course the pressure is on Floyd it always is , thats soooo obvious , Floyd puts pressure on himself how do you think he motivates himself to work like a machine after all these years , he shoots his mouth and being a proud man he has to back up his mouth , you need crazy crazy motivation to work the way Floyd does for all this time , the man is in amazing shape after a year out .

He sounds real chill. None of the normal pre-fight aggression everyone gets. He's either got a brilliant gameplan or he's injured and not beating himself up over this fight.

Basically he is saying that it doesn't matter if he loses, which is true but it is not exactly something I'd say gives him the mental edge.

I have a slight feeling that Guerrero may try to out-stink the stinker tomorrow night -- whatever it takes to win... but nahhh.

Well yeah, it always is, never bothered Floyd before, it won't here. Another thing though, why would Floyd say I've never heard of Guerrero? You can't hate on people who say you're cherry picking when you say you haven't heard of him yourself.

Before everyone jumps me, I know he's just saying that to get a reaction. But it is a ****** thing to say.

Anyway, I think this is Guerrero's way of trying to encourage Mayweather put on a show. If Floyd tries to impress, instead of fighting conservatively, it would create more opportunities for Guerrero, or so he thinks.
