Best fighter of his generation? Anyone heard of someone called Bernard Hopkins or maybe Roy Jones or even Evander Holyfield?

They aren't in the same generation though.

And if they were all the same weight division my money would be on Floyd to win the tournament , other wise best is just an opinion that has no answer .

Wrong .... Floyd admitted on several occasions that he is a cherry picker.

it was Floyd back then that said this:
"I should be aloud to pick and choose who I fight ...."

          and most recently:
"Guerrero (and many other people) say Mayweather handpicks his opponents ..... I think that if I choose to pick and choose at this particular time - I feel that it's my prerogative"

No its not wrong , Floyd offered 50/50 and Manny ran away because of a PEDS , that was his last card to pull out of the fight , when Floyd agreed to ALL demands Manny had no choice but duck it on the PEDS test , that they knrew about in the first contract draft lol ,

BLATANT DUCK neck and neck with Mannys DUCK of Cotto at 154 and 147 , without draining Cotto is not fighties , Manny is a fake WW that got on the wrong side of Karma and lost , WW fake .

If they were all in the same division they wouldn't be fighting to see who the best were, or if Floyd feel kinda coward he would use the health come first line .

When Manny agreed Floyd put a new roadblock that was ridiculous considering that Manny was the face of boxing while Floyd was on all those extended vacations. Even when Floyd came back, Manny was always #1 or #2.

Back then Floyd didn't really want to fight Manny because he found it too risky. Don't believe me? Go check out all those interviews of Floyd saying "How can a guy come up from 106lbs and walk over these bigger guys at 147? That's never been done before ....." BLATANT DUCK

Back then Floyd also said "I should be aloud to pick and choose who I fight ...."

The above statements would lead anyone to believe that Floyd had no interest in that fight.

Give Floyd credit, he looked like he was in next level type shape at the weigh in. I thought he would come in a little soft after not having trained for a year but he looked like he was more ripped than against Cotto. Probably the best he has looked since Oscar.
This will be a one sided beatdown tomorrow night.

You obviously aren't much of a mayweather supporter but for you to say he couldn't defeat those fighters you named at any pt in time or that he was "ducking" anybody is nonsense. Fights don't materialize for a number of reasons and no one from the promoters to the fighters keep it 100 all the time anyway..So it's hard to pt fingers but I doubt it usually has anything to do w/ anyone being scared of another fighter. Margarito got demolished by mosely b/c he was/is essentially a one dimensional fighter. He's beaten mosely and cotto already..And honestly, He has the skill set to beat those guys even yrs ago. I take it you don't remember mosely saying on nat'l tv that he wouldnt take a fight w/ floyd next b/c he wanted to vacation w/ his fam and get his chipped tooth fixed. Cotto's camp reportedly postponed fights w/ floyd b/c they didnt feel he was ready at the time. Williams posed an interesting physical dilemma w/ his height/reach and had he kept winning, he may have made a case for a bout but then again...NONE of the top ww's were in a hurry to fight paul w. EVEN pac. Lastly, I dont know why anyone thinks pacquiauo would "destroy" mayweather when he struggled against marquez for 3 bouts and finally got knocked out cold. Floyd is a better counter puncher..Has better defense, better hand speed and better lateral movement than marquez. If you can't tell manny has trouble w/ guys who can box i.e. marquez & bradley...Then you simply don't really watch or analyze boxing well.
