Poor Guerrero. No one is giving him a shot in hell. I think he'll be as competitive as Mayweather's fights of late, but I don't think he'll have enough to crack the safe.

I think this will be the most competitive fight since Castillo, I think by the early rounds if Floyd is having to come forward on Guerrero it will be a very very close fight.

If Guerrero tries to pressure Floyd like every other guy has tried he will lose a decision.

I think he is right, the majority of the people making predictions are fans of Floyd and his persona rather than his ability. They haven't bothered to analyse the fight look at the way they are making the predictions the reasons, Floyd will be too fast, he hasn't lost, he's a veteran etc. Focusing on the tangibles and stuff anyone can go on boxrec or look at a highlight video and find.

No mention of the fact Guerrero is a southpaw, or that Floyd's lead right hand will be a deciding factor on a southpaw if he can land it, or the fact Guerrero struggles with volume punching or even that Floyd's legs have slowed down in the past 3-4 years. Things that actually make a difference.

Handspeed is a major advantage but at the highest level it's these sort of things that make the difference, Berto had quicker hands those aren't the reasons Floyd wins fights. Floyd wins fight by systematically adjusting over the first 4 rounds, figuring you out. Breaking down your angles and countering. Floyd is arguable the greatest counter puncher in the past decade and only 3 predictions even mentioned counter punching.

Ortiz didn't land ****. Not even on the ropes other than shoulders, elbows and hips. Stop fooling yourself. He was already using his head from the 2nd round! He was getting frustrated from the start.

I think Floyd's biggest enemy in his fight with Guerrero will be himself - or should I say, his inactivity. At his age, you can't just rely on skills alone. He needs to stay sharp. Controlled sparring sessions are not the same as fighting elite prize-fighters. I think he should have had a tune-up before this fight. Fighting Robert will not be an easy task as some think.
