Barclays Center CEO: Brooklyn is going to be the premier spot for Boxing

Las Vegas is going to start having a ton of competition for Mega Boxing events overseas in places like Abu Dhabi, Macau, and Singapore and even in the US a lot of fights are going to Texas and California and also NYC and AC.

Has anyone been here for a fight? Whats the difference in terms of layout/atmosphere/vibe compared to the MGM Grand?

Tell him they shouldn't stop serving beer and food before the main event starts ! Got to the arena hungry as hell expecting to eat something and maybe have a couple beers. Before the quillin fight was over they stopped serving ....EVERYTHING !

Vegas fans are quiet, NY crowds are rowdy/hype

Haven't been so can't comment on it as a venue but it really does seem a good addition to boxing. For one thing, the atmosphere seems better. It really does suck when a great fight plays out in front of an apathetic, and often sparse, Vegas crowd.

Just a pity we haven't got a true great NYC boxer at the moment.

I think that's another reason boxing popularity has diminished somewhat.

Haven't been really any big NY fights besides Cotto before the Barclays. I think this will definitely help alot with more young people getting interested if they see fights at the Barclays. Most the fights have been sick too besides boring ass Alexander.

New York taxes are much to high for that~ unless they are paying dude 50% extra so they can make the same amount as in a place like Vegas.

It can be the premier spot on the east coast though since all those places have similar taxes
