Comments Thread For: Guerrero Responds To Mayweather on Using Wife's Story

In an earlier story on BoxingScene.com, WBC welterweight champion Floyd Mayweather Jr. (43-0, 26KOs) accused Robert Guerrero (31-1-1, 18KOs) of using his wife's battle with leukemia as a vehicle to gain fans. Mayweather believes Guerrero has done "a hell of a job" with selling their fight through the weeks of promotion and various interviews, but he was also highly critical of Guerrero - stating the Northern Cali boxer was using wife's past health issues as a "sympathy story" to get the fans on his side.

Well said by Guererro, and it certainly does tell you where his head is at...up his arse, same as usual.

Good response by Guerrero, he took it a lot better than all of his female fans posting in the other Floyd thread. He probably read the article not just the title, and realized his fans do not have the ability to read. This response sounds like he just wanted to say something about it for his fans and promotion but doesn't really find it offensive or hurtful, he sees Floyd did say good things about the situation as well.

A wife beater vs a caring husband?? that should have been the title of this fight. Then it would sell more PPV.

Floyd served it up for him to send this fight into another world but he backed down and let it go. Seems bothered by it.
