The night of the fight Nonito was 142lb vs Rigo 125lb. Nonito was welter jr that night, Rigo gave him 20 lb and still took him to school.
I don't think Mares is going to have the same power that Nonito had @122lb.

Yeah I'd love to see this since Rigondeaux won 17-7. Now I know scoring is less than perfect but that's a fairly wide margin of victory.

Mares is my boy, but he shouldn't be talking or thinking about fighters and fights he knows he isn't going to get. He needs to focus on Ponce de Leon who is by no means a push over.
If he's not careful Ponce could put him to sleep. Hope it doesn't happen, but wouldn't surprise me. I remember Vic Darchinyan hurting Mares at 118, so it is a cause for concern.
