Felix Trinidad and Larry Holmes received the same kind of hate and disrespect but it came primarily from biased boxing writers because it was before the era of message boards. However, the hate has been much worse and more rabid for Mayweather.

margarito was hot for like 4 months then got his head bashed in by mosley. what about the decade before that when he fought chavez, hernandez, corrales, manfredy, corley etc.?

Offering Manny $40 million to fight is not shying away in my opinion. It would have been Manny's biggest pay day. In the 1st negotiation, all was done until Floyd asked for drug testing. Manny turned it down.Why??? If you are a clean fighter, what is there to hide? So if people hate on Floyd for not fighting Manny, they should hate Manny even more.
