Sergio is going to be out until 2014..... so what if this happens?

Per WBC rules, you don't defend in 6 months, you get stripped.
Since Sergio has been stripped before, I bet the WBC will have no problem stripping him again and putting his belt up against the number one contender and Canelo.
Am I the only one who doesn't see this totally out of this realm happening?
If not, I can see JCC Jr. having a rematch with Rubio for the belt.
He's not Mayweather, Canelo or JCC Jr, so he won't get the big Daddy treatment. Sergio will probably be Emeritus again

I think this is one of the more plausible outcomes cuz I think Canelo will be growing out of 154 soon. Sergio getting stripped doesn't mean a thing when he still has the lineal title and is the "legacy" opponent at 160. It'll be similar to the Chavez/Martinez situation, where Canelo will win the WBC belt and his legion will come to his defense and say Sergio ain't shit or he's washed up. Martinez is gonna have to heal up real well and will come back with a vengeance if Canelo is holding that belt.

Sergio should play it smart. If the WBC strips him, have 1 more fight in Argentina and then retire. Dude didn't look good at all. He usually kicks it up a notch when he's in trouble and he just couldn't that night.
