Canelo seems to have big stamina issues and takes off like 2 minutes of every round and still breathing hard by the 4th round. Cotto has stamina issues also but not as big as Canelo's. Cotto would force Canelo to fight at a very high pace and I am not sure Canelo would be ready for that.

Cotto has a big chance but I need to seem him get a win first before he fights the ginger.

Not sure why everyone is so sure Canelo would beat Cotto... Canelo threw 450 punches in the trout fight... I've never seen a fighter beat Miguel Cotto and not outpunch him...

They both had very competitive fights with Austin Trout...

over 12 rounds Canelo landed 124 punches on Trout

over 12 rounds Cotto landed 183 punches on Trout

Neither man was truly hurt by Trout... (trouts body work did have an effect on both fighters)

Cotto hits harder than Trout.

dude styles make fights, trouts fight was different from the way canelo fight, and cant judge his workrate just for that fight, remember the mosley fight?, canelo landed more punches than pacman and floyd against him, i know he was shot, but the workrate and fight style was different...

Not sold on Canelo but he is a lot bigger than Cotto. Cotto is a natural 147 fighter and his power hasn't carried over well at 154. A prime Cotto would have had a chance but Alvarez has way too many advantages in this matchup. I gotta give this one to Canelo. It'll be entertaining while it lasts though!

All those numbers really wouldn't matter when it comes time for Canelo vs Cotto, all he would need is just bout half the punches to make Cotto take a knee and he wouldn't make it to the 12th rd!
