Great Saturday night of boxing - Who was the best performance?..

and what was the best fight in your opinion?

I really enjoyed all the fights this weekend, one of the best in recent times. Khan - Diaz, Martinez - Murray, Garcia - Judah all very good fights to watch and have just caught up with the Stiverne - Arreola fight, which was also very good.

Going to give the Garcia - Judah fight my vote for best fight. I fully expected to see Zab fold, especially after nearly replicating his 'chicken dance' in the early rounds, but gotta give him props for staying in there and giving Garcia all sorts of problems towards the end of the fight.

Performance of the night has to go to Martin Murray in my opinion. That must have been one of the most hostile and intimidating atmospheres you could ever fight in, but he just didnt seem fazed by it at all, executed his gameplan brilliantly(tough for any fighter, but against a fighter of Martinez caliber in that atmosphere, incredibly impressive) and really could and should have won.

    What do you think?

I give it to Martin Murray even in a losing effort. He was disciplined, fought a great fight and almost got the W.

His only mistake was giving away too many early rounds and not finishing strong.

Which fight did you like best? I thought the Garcia - Zab fight was excellent to watch.

Stiverne should be mention. There was a poll on who would win that fight. and I don't think a single person chose Stiverne, but he ended up winning by a wide decision.

Yeah, it was brilliant...8 hours solid pretty much, a boxing fans nirvana!! It was also made better by the storm in Argentina bringing the Martinez fight forward by two hours, that meant it almost went straight through, fight after fight. I caught Quillin - Guerrero and Stiverne - Arreola today...nasty busted nose for the nipple in that one and Don King nearly fell out of the ring at the end!

I am going with Stiverne. He put up a great, great effort and beat the much Arreola to a pulp. Next to that, I have to go with Murray and then Abregu.....he gets little attention but he is one of the best guys in the world at 147 and proves it time and time again.

That was a really good performance and a very entertaining HW fight. I havent seen the whole Abregu fight yet, but I heard he struggled with his stamina at times last night.
