Comments Thread For: Danny Garcia Shows His Grit in Overcoming Zab Judah

By Jake Donovan - The long-growing rivalry between Danny Garcia and Zab Judah reached a resolution Saturday evening at Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York. Months of trash talk, postponements and desperate efforts for promotion came to close as Garcia scored a mid-round knockdown and fended off a late rally to top Judah via unanimous decision.

    Scores were 116-111, 115-112 and 114-112 in the 12-round Showtime-televised main event.

The action was slow in the early going. The most significant punch in the opening round was landed by Garcia, connecting with a right hand that momentarily forced Judah to change direction. The defending unified titlist picked up the pace in round two, tightening up the distance in his right hands and also scoring with body shots underneath Judah’s guard.

Judah was expected to offer his usual all-in attack in the first four rounds of the fight. Instead, fans saw a faded veteran now 17 years into his career and no longer able to rely on his once blazing hand and foot speed. The occasional power shot would land for the Brooklynite, but nothing that caught Garcia’s attention early on. [Click Here To Read More]

Danny Garcia is the ****, but he got exposed a little tonight. I never really liked Judah, for like years, but Zab is a badass. He hurt Garcia. He was an underdog "old guy" and fought harder than any punk could nowadays. Much respect to both of them.

Garcia looked so vulnerable in the latter rounds, an old Judah rocked him and had him in trouble from the 10th round on. A learning experience for Garcia, Mathysse, Peterson or Rios would surley do some damage to him. Hope Garcia enjoys the ride for now cause it won't last long.

Haven't you forgot that Judah also tooled Matthyse for 2/3's of their fight??? Garcia was more dominant over Judah for SURE than Matthyse was against Judah.....

Rios is entertaining but horribly 1 dimensional....The only guy to beat Danny at 140 is Peterson...And I'm sure they will meet up once Peterson whoops Matthyses ass in 3 weeks.

And Garcia slightly won round 12...Through he did get rocked in the 11th and clearly lost the 10th and 11th.

Garcia Has A Right To Be Spent At The End; He Beat The Crap Out Of Zab!

When you make comments like Garcia was gassed.... Garcia was "exposed" which is ******. Play the tape back. Garcia beat the **** out of Zab the entire fight. By Round 10, 11, he's wore out. That's credible. Zab took a beating, and Garcia delivered it, therefore should be spent. Say what you want if you're just not a Garcia fan, your boy Zab took an old fashion a** whipping tonight, and he's not saying to much on the heels of it either.

He looked vulnerable???? He was exhausted from giving your gangster boy Zab a beatdown the entire night. All Zab had to do was cover up, hold on, and get up off the canvas..... Garcia fought an outstanding fight.

You do realize Zab has changed his lifestyle up right? That gangster comment shows that you are living in the past. I mean, how gangster is it for your ring walk music to be Gospel music. Just comment on the fight my man, and move around.
