It was a very close fight.

    I had Martinez winning 114-113.

Those who scored it for Martinez, please state who you had winning Canelo-Trout.

I had Canelo-Trout a draw, but the fights aren't perfectly comparable.

Murray didn't start doing much until the fourth, while Canelo was already landing consistently well by the second. Murray's effective work was largely concentrated in rounds 6-10, while Canelo was relatively effective in a greater range and number of rounds.

I look up to and respect Martinez immensely as the skilled athlete he is but I think Murray squeezed it out. I also think Canelo legitimately beat Trout....

Based on clean punching, both Murray and Canelo won.

I can not give it to Trout because of his ineffective activity with jabs and I can not give it to Martinez because of his...well nothing, he didn't out land, out throw, or landed cleaner punches than Murray.

Based on who landed the better punches, the more eye opening, effective, clean punching, Murray won. Martinez won the showboating contest for sure.

Because he's making the reductive argument that if you had Canelo winning due to effective punching, you must also have Murray winning for the same reason.
