Martinez looked past his peak. Slow. He was being a primadonna though out the fight.
You're seeing things. They were very clear that the title was up for grabs.

They are like that alot towards their stars. I love the fact that Marquez knocked the **** out of Pac because they were also giving Marquez no credit before that. HBO and compubox are bull****.

I thought the HBO team gave too much credit to Martinez in the first 4-5 rds then it became obvious that Murray was doing so well that they could no longer ignore the work he was putting in. RJJ was the most fair imo.

jones was alright he called it right, even when they did the replay and they could have changed that slip to a KD (which it was) and they ruled it a slip, he just did a lil laugh and said no comment

The HBO commentators gave Murray plenty of props (e.g. noting solid connects, mentioning after 8 rounds that the scorecards may start looking 'very English', mentioning in the post fight interview with Murray that he was landed more cleanly and did more damage) and spent half the fight talking about how bad Sergio looked.

I honestly believe they are told to be lenient to their big money/up and coming fighters. Who can forget lampleys **** **** with Manny. I have rewatched Chavez Taylor and when Chavez starts landing in the late rounds there are times where there is no Commentating for a good 20 sec. Yet when Taylor flurried they would call it.

You think? I thought showtime did great tonight. It felt more like I was listening to them talk about the fight itself, then the fighters. Which usually is how it is in HBOs case, not always though.
