You can tell the obvious size diff between him & his opps....They've learned that to simply try to overpower him is futile...he's not making the proper adjustment on the fly from what I can tell. That mixed w/ him wanting to be entertaining. Murray knew he wanted to knock him out & refused to give him the openings.
same thing happened with Pac. mofos are scared and always fight them in a defensive shell forcing both guys to take more risks to make the fight exciting. doesn't help that both guys are too old for their styles now

      such a joke

after round 3, martinez did not win a single round until 11, he got out worked, and landed nothing of note. murray on the other hand beat him down so bad, got 2 kd along the way as well (ref robbed him of one of them)

Murray clearly won the fight, should have won it by a few points, feel so bad for him, the man was robbed again

Do any of the **** heads in this thread realise that martinz is 38!!!! years old ???

For a white dude that bases his whole style on speed and reflexes its a miracle that he diddent retire 5 years ago.

Mikkel kessler is 33 and he is WAY past his prime and he dossent even relay on speed.

If sergio had started boxing earlyer he would be fighting the Pavliks, and Murrys of the world at the age 26.

Murray is a good fighter. I wouldn't mind seeing him fight more. Very close fight...

I was surprised that Martinez didn't take more time off after the knee injury. He looked flabby and slow. It's also time for him to keep his hands up. Good thing his power is still there. He did have Murray hurt in the 12.

It was a very close fight but Martínez won. Murray is strong but he resembled a punching bag. The same idiots on this site that criticize Chávez know that if he had trains well, he kos Martínez. Guaranteed.

Oh I get it should we start making concessions for elderly fighters now ? get him a free buss pass and a free 2 round head start ? He chooses to fight at his age he takes the consequences

It's a pity he only broke out as a star at 36.
Because he is not American. The US media dictates everything in boxing. Not the WBC, WBA. You have a coward like Floyd being overhyped just like a Coke. JC Chávez was known until he was like 44-0 with 30 plus kos.

Hey, all you boxing "experts" stop the BS saying that Martínez is done. You said he is a beast when he fought Chávez. Give credit to Murray he showed a good technique and is strong. Martínez simply fought a very good, young fighter with guts and a chin. Nothing like Hatton. Martínez is a great athlete not just a boxer. He will do good for two more years.
