Thanks mate, I think everybody with a bit of boxing knowledge would agree, Martin is a very close friend of mine and I feel for him today, but he will bounce back.Originally posted by ukalltheway View PostI agree pizz take .
When Martinez started shouting Argentina at the end I knew Murray was gonna get robbed
Every shot he was throwing was pretty much hitting the gloves
Complaining every round too

Daylight ****ing robbery. Murray has beaten Sturm and now Martinez, that makes him the No1 middleweight in the World by my book. I hate this sport sometimes, it's shamelessly corrupt and takes the piss out of the fans on a weekly basis. **** this.

No I don't think he did, Hes just a very humble fighter that doesn't b1tch and moan when he gets jobbed it ain't going to change anything moaning on is it the fights over, He didn't whine on for months after the sturm draw either like a lot of fighters would of done, when he watches the tape of this fight he won't believe he lost this fight, He just put a beat down on Martinez in his own back yard.Originally posted by mistermartin View PostFunny how even Murray disagrees w/ u...

No one is referring to his humble nature. But he was directly asked whom he thought won the fight...His aanswer was "I did not do enough to win here tonight" If a fighter feels that way coming directly off of the fight moments beforehand. Then i don't know what to tell you. This fight was far from a robbery. Even w/ the 2nd KD murray did not win this contest. A man primed & geared to steal a vickie would've closed the show....not lose the final 2 rds. He was hurt in the 12 as well. You saw a beatdown...I did not. he gave a good account of himself that is all. knock it off.Originally posted by Copyright View PostNo I don't think he did, Hes just a very humble fighter that doesn't b1tch and moan when he gets jobbed it ain't going to change anything moaning on is it the fights over, He didn't whine on for months after the sturm draw either like a lot of fighters would of done, when he watches the tape of this fight he won't believe he lost this fight, He just put a beat down on Martinez in his own back yard.

He's getting a lil worn...but guys r just trying to use & improve the tactic of staying at home & punching in spots. Sergio expected the guy to come fwd & try to ****. (as is his style) Not stand there w/ his hands up all night (3rd time that's happened) Martinez does need to figure out a better strategy to make guys open up w/out having to leave himself vulnerable w/ his hands low. You can tell the obvious size diff between him & his opps....They've learned that to simply try to overpower him is futile...he's not making the proper adjustment on the fly from what I can tell. That mixed w/ him wanting to be entertaining. Murray knew he wanted to knock him out & refused to give him the openings.Originally posted by SOPH~ REP. Do you think for one minute the Argentinians are going to let a English fighter come to their home town and get a decision never ever going to happen, I saw one ineffective fighter (Martinez) doing very little and one effective fighter (Murray) doing very little but doing more than the other I stand by my view that Murray won the fight.Originally posted by mistermartin View PostNo one is referring to his humble nature. We just see it differently. Also...the same standard is pretty much universal in every part of the world. It's about economics as well as sportsmanship. Many a hometown fav have gotten home vickies. England is no exception to that general rule. Calzaghe and Hatton & now Khan have ALLLL benifited from sucha setup. The Murray camp knew that coming in. & knew wut they were up against. Just like trout was against it last week....The burden of proof is on them. There is a reason why it's called home-field/home-court advantage throughout the sports world....bc u have a perceived advantage. So robbery no. pretty good fight...yes. Murray did not diminish his reputation last night.Originally posted by Copyright View PostI agree with one thing he said and that is he didn't think he did enough to win here (Argentina) but to be honest he had to knock Martinez out to win in Argentina.
