I don't know. I need to see him box for 3 minutes to be able to gauge him.

When he smells blood he goes berserk and disregards every fundamental in the sport of boxing.

so far, when he's smelled blood the end of the fight has been a foregone conclusion.

klitschko would never take that right hand, but if he did he wouldn't crumble into a ball the way harrison did. he'd certainly take advantage of the winging and capitalize. either that or hold, lol. it is wladimir klitchko, after all.

as of right now, despite the flaws, i think wilder competes with the rest of the top 10 outside of haye and wladimir. i think vitali is going to retire, so i'm not including him. they're frankly just not that good outside of that top 3. i'd pick him to lose a decision to pulev for sure, who can deal with the power and is a tricky southpaw. the rest of them would have a hard time staying away from a long right hand with speed and power like that. they'd be relatively even fights going in. i don't think he wins all of them, but that power, his size, and his speed would allow him to at least compete with the latter half of the top 10.

it's too bad he didn't start boxing younger.

it's too bad all of his nba prospect pals didn't box younger, either.

And these 4 round and less fights he's not getting any rounds in.

I think I'd like to see the Tony Thompson fight or maybe even a Steve Cunningham at least to push him and make him box. I don't know if he's improving or not because of these soft opponents.

Or maybe his power is really that overwhelming and I'm underratiing him.

Being fair to Wilder the first punch he landed to hurt Harrison was an excellent straight right hand delivered down the middle and on target. Having watched quite a few of his fights I would even say it's the best right hand he has ever thrown.

After that obviously he was throwing some made for TV movie punches but you can't blame him for that either. If he had said his strategy going in was to throw wild punches and knocked Harrison out with a gust of wind I would have applauded him on his sound strategy.
