Comments Thread For: Amir Khan: One More Loss and I Can Forget Mayweather

AMIR KHAN is hoping to complete his return to the big-time by setting up a megabucks clash with Floyd Mayweather Jr.

Khan tackles Julio Diaz at Sheffield's Motorpoint Arena tonight in the latest stage of his bid to get back on the world title scene.

And the 26-year-old Bolton bruiser believes victory will take him a massive step nearer a superfight with five-division world champion Mayweather.

Khan suffered shock losses to Lamont Peterson and Danny Garcia and knows a win over Mexican Diaz is essential.

Jesus I thought the guy learnt his lesson by now. Here he goes again by calling for Mayweather...

One more loss and you'll be fighting for European titles

"There's no point in looking ahead" he says, whilst gazing into the distance.

It's the media's fault as much as anybody's, this constant bollocks about Khan Mayweather. The collective media need to stop asking him about it, and if he mentions it unprompted they need to tell him to shut up.

Beating a faded lightweight Julio Diaz does not indicate "a massive step" towards Mayweather in any sane person's mind.

Khan & Mayweather will not happen.

Not enough money in it for PBF unless Khan suddenly fights 4 times between now & the end of the year.

I like this Amir Khan, he isn't delusional as he once was. Guy has had quite a few brutal setbacks in his career.

I am probably going to cop a heap of **** for this but I think khan has a style that could potentially give floyd problems. If he stays on the outside and throws those ****** slapping punches he throws 4, 5, or 6 at a time, I reckon he could steal a ud. Floyd is a low volume puncher and I dont think he will be able to control the speed of the fight will khan as well as he has with everyone else he has faced.

                  Yes,

Because a win over Julio Diaz earns a Mayweather showdown?

                    Khan is a bum

Khan don't worry even if u lose you will be on the 6 fight list lol. We all know u, Alexander, Paula Non-G if he gets past Broner which I doubt and Maidana will all be on Fraud Gayweather's cherrypicking quack quack ducking list. We all know he won't fight PAC still after being KO'd, won't fight Bradley, Won't fight Alvarez and damn sure ain't going to be fighting Martinez at 154. Lol 4 fights in 6 years keeps you #1 on the p4p list while other fighters are all fighting each other Fraud fools the public lol.
