Comments Thread For: Edgar Sosa vs. Giovani Segura Lands in Zitacuaro

The fight has finally found a home. Edgar Sosa (48-7-0, 29 KOs) will face the "Aztec Warrior" Giovani Segura (29-2-1, 25 KOs) on May 18 at the Plaza de Toros Ëloy Cavazos in Zitácuaro, Michoacán. The fight will be televised by Azteca 7 and promoted by Zanfer Promotions. Sosa will risk his WBC silver flyweight world championship, and his mandatory short to face Japan's absolute world champion Toshiyuki Igarashi. Segura is looking to reclaim his top position at the weight, which he lost after getting knocked out by Brian Viloria in December 2011.

My family is originally from Michaocan so it's really nice to see that alot more known fighters are staging their fights in that state and hopefully this trend continues

Igarashi just lost to Yaegashi, so the Sosa-Segura fight winner VS Yaegashi. That sounds great too.
