I understand that anyone Mayweather wants, Mayweather gets, but Golden Boy has a potentially great thing for Garcia in this tournament at 140. If he wins that, it would make Mayweather-Garcia a pretty good fight for everyone involved. Doing it now would mean nothing for Mayweather, derail Garcia, and not make the money for Golden Boy and the fighters that waiting would.
Unless Golden Boy doesn't believe Garcia would beat the Matthysse-Peterson winner, they should not make this fight in September.Comment
