  • Comments Thread For: Deontay Wilder: I Will Not Underestimate Audley Harrison

Audley Harrison is convinced he can still win a world title as he prepares to step into the ring once again.

The 41-year-old heavyweight was widely written off after suffering the latest setback in a frustrating career with defeat to David Price last October.

It was Harrison's sixth loss since turning professional after winning Olympic gold in 2000 but he has not lost any of his ambition.

Reinvigorated by success in the recent Prizefighter competition, Harrison takes on hard-hitting unbeaten American Deontay Wilder in Sheffield on Saturday.

Harrison said: "I knew after Prizefighter I was going to get opportunities. I was so good in that, I created a stir.

"I said I was looking for someone in the top 10 and so I couldn't ask for anyone better than America's next big thing.

"There is everything to fight for. He is going to be an interesting puzzle for me to figure out, he brings a lot to the table.

"I have to find a way to get through that power, he has a big right hand.

"Beating him would put me back in the top 10, eligible to fight for world titles, which is my goal.

"After David Price people thought they wouldn't see me again, but setbacks pave the way for comebacks. [Click Here To Read More]

Even though I feel Wilder is a KO waiting to happen, I expect him to pull this victory out within 3 or so rounds.

He's already underestimated him by agreeing to get in the ring with him.

I'm seriously starting to almost want to see Harrison get a world title. It would be an insane story.

Am I the only one who thinks Wilder is all hype?

I really wouldn't be surprised to see Harrison lay him out.

Why would you underestimate a guy who put you to sleep in sparring, allegedly? I'd be looking for revenge.

There was never any evidence supporting that story, or even a source. Seemed to be complete invention.

Don't let facts get in the way of a ****** ass post.

Everyone knows Audley is 100% delusional so I hate to pick and choose which is the craziest statement but him saying he beat up Sprott every round with one arm in their rematch is hilarious.

Though boxingscene doesn't show the cards at the time of stoppage I recall Harrison being down about 8 rounds to 3 or 9 rounds to 2 going into the final round and only landing a miracle punch when Sprott got carried away trying to finish him off.

He had to have been behind something like 108-101 going into that 12th round and here he is saying he dominated the fight and beat his opponent up.

                Guy is bat**** nuts.

He is ALL hype. He lacks boxing skills. He's like the new version of Michael Grant. Big strong but that's about it.
