Did Roach ever announce the new fighter he was training?

I remember there being a thread on here maybe a month or so ago and it was saying Roach was training a new undefeated champion I think and I don't remember if I ever saw it announced or if he has announced it. Anyone have an update?

No he said this during the time he was training Shiming, and Shiming is brand new, the guy he was referring to was Canelo Alvarez, but Julio Cesar Chavez Jr decided to go back wtih Roach.

I think Canelo is the guy Roach was referring too, the big star undefeated boxer.

Canelo trains out of Wild Card west an affiliate of Freddie Roaches Wild card boxing gym, Peter Quillin trains out of there too, and I think Peter Berg and Garry Shandling the actors own that gym and are trying to manage Canelo's US career or something like that and were trying to hook Roach and Canelo up or something.
