He was great vs Chavez. Chavez is so relentless and he boxed beautifully and moved to keep him off balance.

He also hit Chavez with huge shots but Whitaker was never a big puncher.

Whitaker put also dominating perfomances against Haugen and Ramierez 2. Haugen never was knocked down or dominated until he was shutout by Whitaker. Whitaker was the first to drop haugen. Haugen was inducted into the World Boxing Hall of Fame.

After getting robbed with Ramirez in the first fight he would throughly dominate Ramirez. In one round he even toyed with the hall of fame Ramirez by staying in the corner and just making Ramirez miss shot after shot, than he gleefully walked out of the corner unscathed, Mayweather wouldn't be able to such an act.

Whitaker vs Hurtado for me. After being knocked down in the 1st and 6th round Whitaker comes back to VICIOUSLY KO hurtado while ****** Arthur Mercante jr. just stands there and looks!

            fast forward to 42:50

The Hurtado KO was to preserve the big payday with DLH. But Whitaker was losing badly for most of the bout. I think the TS was talking about the best performance meaning from start to finish.

The Hurtado definitely showed that Whitaker could be a puncher if he needed a big KO, and he needed that Ko since he was losing badly on the cards. Most importantly, it preseved the big payday with DLH.

                  JCV fight is often overlooked
Whitaker boxed brilliantly and had to do some fighting in that one too
he got off the deck early and took some shots from a bigger guy
Vasquez was pretty good, but Whitaker had the moves to shut him down
wouldn't rate this above Chavez, but it was damn good
Whitaker took down a quality JMW titlist

Pea looking great in the Chavez fight is a myth lol...he won but not a great performance, a lot of low blows, boring action. His best performance was the Nelson fight.
