Nah, he's basically complaining that he got knocked out. The forearm is just a way for him, in his mind, to legitimize the complaint. If the KO happened in a different way, Steve would still be complaining about something else.
The Adamek fight he had every right to complain because he clearly won the fight but the Fury fight he would have lost either way.
The forearm set up the KO, it held his head up to receive the KO blow. It didn't happen in a different way. Your whole argument is based on what might have happened not what actually did.
i'm not going to listen to this unprofessional garbage. the second the "host" let in a caller who was a "huge fury fan" he lost all credibility.
these are the same caliber of "journalist" who pushed the rumor about broner being knocked out cold in sparring by errol spence.
somebody want to give me a summary of what was said? i literally can't suffer through interviews / radio segments like this one. they're an insult to the history of the sport, and the journalists who recorded it.

Disagree, the body shot set up the KO - Cunningham was hurt and moved back to the ropes as soon as it landed. The forearm maybe sped things up a little, allowing Fury to land that shot at that time - but he would have KOd Cunningham either way - with or without the forearm. The body shots were what did it, not the forearm.

The punch that landed due to his head be lifted up by the forearm is what caused the KO. You're using what might have happened to try defend what did happen again.

don't take everything so serious. A lot of these radio shows are very good EVEN THOUGH you may hear someone cussing here and there on air. ATG radio is 80 % a very good, professional radio show and sometimes they just have a little bit of fun. Overall it is one of the best boxing radio shows I know next to "leave it in the ring".
Steve whinged post-fight and he got called out on it and didn't like the truth.
Fact is, he was hurt from a Fury bodyshot and was getting KO'd anyway. Ref helped him enough as it is, took a point off Fury and wouldn't let him work the inside.
The funniest thing is the guy who called him out has had a pro fight (not successful, but he's been in there) so that USS insult goes out the window.
dude, you really need to learn the rules of boxing. you clearly have no clue.
there was no truth in anything that moron said, from beginning to end it was just bull****. steve called him on it right away with that gravy train comment and it got no better from there.
he was hurt by a bodyshot, you are right about that. but just because you hurt someone with a legal bodyshot you arent allowed to finish them off with a foul, and yes that finishing blow was a foul. in fact there were three separate blatant fouls between the bodyshot and the looping right hand that knocked USS out.
and it wasnt just in the finishing moments, fury was fighting very dirty after cunningham dropped him. blatantly and intentionally using his head, using his forearms and excessively pushing, holding and leaning on cunningham.
how can you say the ref helped cunningham? are you ******ed for real? fury deserved to have that point taken off. it isnt exactly hard to tell when a 6'9 fighter headbutts a 6'3 opponent.
i actually laughed as fury pretended he had no clue what the ref was doing after committing about as blatant a foul as i have ever seen. only the guy who thinks ortiz got screwed against mayweather could possibly get this wrong, i guess nothing is obvious enough for you to get it right.
as for the ref "not letting fury work on the inside". man, you have been watching hatton too much. grabbing and leaning on your opponent is not working, in fact furys grabbing was the only thing keeping them from going to work.
the ref is supposed to put a stop to it and make them go back to fighting which tbh he didnt do enough of. ohh and incase you were wondering, fighting is when take your hand, ball it up into a fist and punch your opponent above the belt. thats legal in the sport of boxing. holding, headbutting, pushing etc.. these are actually fouls.
let me reiterate.. punching=legal... headbutting, excessive holding and pushing=illegal..
i know right.. all this time you have been thinking ortiz did nothing wrong by headbutting mayweather while floyd committed an atrocious foul by punching him in the face after the ref said box. thinking hatton got screwed against mayweather because he wasnt allowed to clinch every round and now the fury-cunningham fight.
again, its about damn time you learn the fcking rules.
and as for USS calling this guy out on his own experiences, i really dont think having one fight, getting knocked out in a single round and never boxing again earns you any cred at all within the business. for him to then attack a world champion like that, to me it just shows where the real sour g****s are coming from just as clearly as who on this site has the least knowledge about boxing rules.

The likely outcome in any event is that Steve gets KOd in that fight - with or without the use of the forearm - agree or disagree?
