seems too rare, to be a "trend"

It's only "rare" because fans don't get the opportunity to do it often.

There's a difference between a reason and an excuse.

Now, not to say USS wasn't on the way out soon anyways, however, what Tyson did was definitely an illegal foul to setup a knockout blow.

A lot of fans don't know the rules of boxing, that's why there's ******s like this guy thinking it's acceptable for Fury to mount Cunningham 75 times.

Rufus just wanted his 5 seconds of (questionable) fame.
As for Tyson Fury vs Cunningham: when I watched it the first time, I didn't think anything was illegal, but of course I understand what Cunningham says. Of course you can make a case for the knockout being somehow illegal, but then again, Fury wasn't elbowing him in the face. You can go to any Ricky Hatton, John Ruiz, Wlad Klitschko (leaning, clinching) or Hopkins fight and make a case for disqualifying them for clinching. Those kind of fouls are illegal and they happen all the time, basically in every fight.
I think Cunningham was winning the Fury fight and then Fury started leaning on him and within 2 rounds all of Cunningham's energy was gone. Fury was tiring him out with those tactics; was it illegal? Yes. On the other hand, Wlad Klitschko and many other boxers do the same thing all the time.
Even the Rigondeaux-Donaire knockdown would be illegal somehow: Donaire pushed him away and then landed the left hook which knocked Rigo down. I mean, you can go through every fight and find 30 illegal things.

                      Agreed.

Steve whinged post-fight and he got called out on it and didn't like the truth.

Fact is, he was hurt from a Fury bodyshot and was getting KO'd anyway. Ref helped him enough as it is, took a point off Fury and wouldn't let him work the inside.

The funniest thing is the guy who called him out has had a pro fight (not successful, but he's been in there) so that USS insult goes out the window.
