its a waste of time. 1 its not a ppv worthy fight at all. 2 cotto has no business at 154, especially vs someone who weighs 170+ on fight night. But if its cottos last fight and wants a pay day then go for it. If he plans to keep on fighting he should go to 147

Everyone here says he can't make 147 anymore though. In fact he hinted at fighting Martinez at 160...

I think Canelo gets the KO/TKO, he has faster hands and if you stand in front of him too long he'll get in his power punches. Fast hands are key to beating canelo and cotto's speed is just not up there. I believe Canelo would also have the reach advantage, combined with his speed advantage I dont think he'll have much trouble catching the slower plodding cotto but you never know, cotto's a great puncher and has his timing down to make up for his speed.

I think the IQ is overshadowed by Canelo's youth and athleticism. His head movement and defense proved more effective against Trout than Cotto's ring IQ.

Hope this fight doesn't happen. Cotto should go back to 147lb.. Cotto stop being lazy and get back down to 147l. Please I don't want to see you get hurt, that's all

Canelo via a bloody UD or TKO.

Cotto should go back to 147.

I voted Canelo by KO. I don't think Cotto can handle that kind of speed, power and accurate combination punching to the head and body. Don't worry, we will all find out how this fight goes when it happens in September if my prediction of future fights comes true. I am pretty sure this is Canelo's next fight.

Canelo will beat Cotto in a easy UD. I dont think a TKO will happen because Canelo dont have the stamina to make Cotto back pedal for 12 rounds and Canelo will fight smart. He knows he dont need a KO to beat him either. Why risk it?

Canelo UD, only because Canelo's subpar foot work. Cotto is still skilled enough to go to distance.

Canelo outboxes him. Wins a UD. Probably 8-4/9-3 kind of fight with Cotto having his moments early and fading down the stretch.
