It's safe to say that Canelo will make a pretty penny against a number of fighters on PPV and that they don't need a Floyd fight right now.

I think GBP will ride this wave so to speak they could really build this kid up. Fights against Cotto, Angulo, Chavez Jr, hell even Martinez and Golovkin are fights that could make Mayweather vs Alvarez big enough to put in Azteca Stadium eventually. Just rambling.

What do you think GBP will or should do?

I don't think Floyd will fight Canelo in September and Canelo had a nice crowd.
My guess, his next opponent will be PPV.

      1. Cotto
      2.Lara/Angulo
      3.Guerrero

Also, if they have a PPV in September, no way they try and go against Marquez/Bradley

Absolutely because theres no shame in loosing to Mayweather. It wont hurt him with his fanbase. And from what I saw on Saturday theres a greater chance of Canelo loosing to one of the other contenders at 154 than him beating Mayweather. So Canelo needs to cash in his chip now. Because if he starts loosing to some of these other guys he may never get this chance again. And his fanbase will bail on him.

I think they let Canelo headline a PPV first, it will likely help his negotiating position especially if it is against Cotto. I disagree that they don't need Floyd though, Canelo can do really well better than almost everyone in the sport, but to get to that next level they need a Floyd fight.

I think they are looking to max that fight out and that fight would be real big next for both men but think it would be biggest in one year, dudes would be tripping over the fight by that point.

Pretty sure Canelo vs Cotto is next, and that's gonna be a PPV.
