What does an "either way" fight do for your legacy?

    Obviously in referral to Trout/Canelo.

How will people look back on it do you think?

Pac-Marquez 1 2 and 3 were either way fights too, yet it seems the majority of people here regard them as Marquez clear wins for some reason.

Hopkins-Calzaghe is a fight where neither fighter seems to get any credit for it.

How do you think this fight will be remembered? Will Canelo be seen to have just sc****d that win? Will Trout be remembered for giving Canelo a competitive fight more so than a loss?

It still to a degree shows that a fighter can compete at that level

i think u have it all wrong
a win is a win weather it was a robbery or not
only us knowledgeable fans give a ****

      i.e. mayweather castillo
floyds still undefeated and uses that all the time when we know damn well hes not

one exception would be pac bradley where pac lost but most even casual fans know he won

this will go down as a good win for canelo

Depends on what they do from here. If Trout disappears, it does nothing for Alvarez. If Trout remains a force, then it looks much better.

this was an important fight for trout and will effect his legacy. this was his stepping stone to greatness. Now unless he gets and captializes on another opportunity, his career will languish in mediocrity and anonimity.

for the ginger, this was just another stepping stone to bigger fights.

Trout needed to win this more than the ginger
