Face it, Canelo is the FUTURE OF BOXING. He is only 22 and has a huge fan following that will only grow. Floyd is a legend but is clearly on his way out, so if Floyd does what is expected and ducks Canelo it won't hurt Canelo's career at all.

Honestly speaking it would be great for him to fight mayweather but in all reality he doesn't need him. He is already a star transcending into a faninacial mega star. Lets see how his first ppv does if he doesn't fight mayweather. If he does higher than 1 mill his first time it will be great. I don't think he needs floyd because I feel floyd will say he piggy backed off his name -
Its true he doesnt need Mayweather. But Mayweather is free money. Because if he looses then theres no shame in loosing to Floyd. He keeps his huge following and he gets a huge payday. But if he starts loosing to some of the other contenders his following will bail on him quicker than ****. So he should be doing everything in his power to get Floyd in the ring.Comment

True, no one needs Floyd. Floyd dont need anyone as well, as he dont care for legacy, and is just happy to self proclaim even if no one agrees with him. Floyd dont call anyone out or make challenges to anyone as he isnt ambitious, will only fight if backed into a corner.
Canelo certainly dont need Floyd. Canelo afterall proved he has what it takes to beat Trout, whilst Floyd hasnt.
In fact Floyd should fight trout to qualify to fight Canelo now.Comment
