Comments Thread For: Nonito Donaire is Doing Well After Shoulder Surgery

Dethroned WBO super bantamweight champion Nonito “The Filipino Flash” Donaire is undergoing rehabilitation and recovering well following surgery to repair two tears on his tendons and a bone spur that he said was “floating in my joint.”

In an interview with BoxingScene.com/Manila Standard, Donaire said - “I’m good. The surgery went well. We needed to get that done.”

He said Dr. Shabi Kahn a sports medicine specialist and orthopedic surgeon at Seton Medical Center in Daly City, “did a really amazing job” in his clinic last weekend and that he “felt great” but that right now “the most important thing is waiting for the baby. I’m very excited about that and feel very good.”

I still think he shouldn't have mentioned the surgery in the post fight interview. All he had to do was have the surgery and the fans would have done the rest.

Not so confident about facing Juanma now? hahahaha

Anyways, Mickey should fight his mando, and Juanma should fight a top ten guy, at 128/130 and then go fro the big names/top fighters

And donaire should stop hinting at that his shoulder was teh reason he got schooled!

He's shoulder been bothering him for 3 years as he said but now he looses and it's all the shoulders fault gtfo he never mentioned it once when he was winning in 2012 he got schooled and both him and Robert Garcia seem to just forget that talking about he's the best but Donaire honestly knows is best for him to get out of Casa de chacal and move up.

good, he's capable of far more than he showed vs Rigo
heal up, get back in the saddle, and hit 126 strong
he can beat everybody there, still hoping for the Mares fight

So now Robert thinks he should stay at 122? What for? From what I remember he told everyone that he was having problems making weight.

He also got handily beat by Rigondeaux and I don't see a rematch in the horizon, so I don't see what he's going to do at 122. Terrazas is going to get a rematch with Mijares next because it was a very close fight so who's he going to fight?

Donaire was full of excuses when getting schooled but much respect to this man. He does PED year round testing and fights anybody, what more can a boxing fan ask?
