Just because Paulie says Trout was controlling the action doesn't make it so. Canelo made him miss like the ****ens... he had 14% land in jabs. That's pathetic. Canelo had that much, throwing half the jabs. And Canelo threw 1/3 less power shots but still landed the same... and Trout has hardly any power. If Trout can't connect better than that in the future, he needs to invest in a good convenience store and quit boxing altogether.

At the end of the day Canelo inflicted more damage on trout than trout delivered on Canelo. Trout was busier but missed the majority of his shots. Pawing a jab for 12 rounds does not win you a fight regardless of how much u pump it out there especially when it's barely connecting.

That is happening with the sport when the top U.S. fighters are the likes of FMJr., Andre Ward and B-Hop.

There was one round I believe the 11th where Canelo landed like 5 straight rights one after the other and all were hard shots that landed clean. I couldn't believe trout was hit with the same punch 5 times one after the other.

Numbers are too high for both guys, especially trouts jabs. In round 1 he landed 1 weak jab at :32, the rest all missed. Compubox had him landing 8

By watching the rounds 6 and 7 one would understand the whole fight.
One would understand why Alvarez was in control.
