I don't really post much here cause I noticed a while ago a lot of u don't know much about boxing. No offense. Trout fought well and stuck to his gameplan which was use his reach and jab to keep Saul out of his punching range. Saul adapted and started retreating while bobing his head to bait trout in for counters. I was just wondering if anyone here gives Canelo any kind of credit. I know theirs a lot of Canelo haters here I wanna hear from u.

Of course. He put on a great performance and showed skills that most didn't know he had.

I think the judging, the open scoring ruined the night for most and that seems to be the bulk of the discussion today. This could of been a classic fight with both fighters going after it in the championship rounds but instead, Canelo had the fight in the bag after 8 rounds against a guy with no punchers chance. This was not a fight that was decided after 8 rounds.

If the scores were in the 114-113 or 116-111 range I think the focus would be more on Canelo's performance as opposed to the other **** that was going on.

how can you not? i mean, he beat a guy in trout who handled cotto, a stud.

then he showed some good defensive improvements along with some pretty solid speed.

i thought some of those score cards were too wide, but it was a blatant canelo victory.

having said that, canelo SEVERELY handles cotto and i don't see how cotto will turn down that fight, the money generated would be ridic but mayweather

Yea it was a good win I wish the scores were better though. But he didn't impress so much to make me think he's the next best thing tho. Did anyone see oscars shlt eating grin during canelos interview lol

Ryan Rhodes was The Ring #4 ranked JMW. Trout is his second good win. Wins against #3 and #4 JMW's. If he beats Miguel Cotto in September, that would be another win against a #3 JMW. That would be 3 wins against top 3-4 JMW's and he'll only be 23.

If you r a floyd fan you wont be willing to give canelo credit, as you so wish it was Floyd who beat Trout. Trout beat Cotto more convincingly than Floyd according to many, so if Floyd could beat trout was the topic of conversation.

We know canelo can beat Trout, but with Floyd it is pure speculation which is the norm for Floyd.

Yes. Canelo showed good defensive skills and outboxed Trout in my opinion. Alvarez needs to work on his stamina though. If he cant get Mayweather than he needs to fight the winner of Angulo vs Lara. Him fighting anybody besides the winner of that at this point is a cherry pick.

yes why shouldn't anyone give him credit?outside of bias canelo fans it seems everyone thought trout would win so how could you not give a guy credit for beating someone that so many said he would lose to

I'll just say that it was a close fight, but the Texas judges were garbage

yeah definitely a legit win, you have to give him credit. With that said, he needs to work on conditioning and stamina.
