    BoxingScene.com has been advised that a showdown between former lightweight champion Juan Diaz (36-4, 18KOs), and undefeated contender Omar Figueroa (21-0-1, 17KOs), is in the works. After a brief retirement Diaz returned to the ring last week with a knockout victory over Pipino Cuevas Jr. Figueroa destroyed the previously undefeated Abner Cotto with a 1st round knockout Saturday night in San Antonio.

                  Figueroa needs to get some rounds in, and I think Diaz will last to the final bell.

                          Diaz already had 1 fight and it stated they will fight in separate bouts before they possibly meet.
