Can Alvarez Do Anything Besides Set-Reset High Speed Sharpshooting From The Outside?

No?? It was a close fight. Why leave it to chance??
A great many number of observers scored the fight for Trout. Technically Alvarez lost because of what you're describing here according to some people. That's hardly a good thing.

I'm forced to agree. Particularly if Canelo ever faces world class operators like Floyd Mayweather or Sergio Martinez. I guess we already know where the ceiling lies... Sucks because Canelo could give either of those guys a hard time if he could round out his game a bit... Or perhaps it's a bit late for that.Comment

If you have seen him since 2009, I'm baffled you can't answer this question yourself.
His last fight alone tells you the answer.Comment

It's called strategizing. Trout was expecting Canelo to come for him and had a prepared strategy. Even in the end Trout said that he didn't expect this from Canelo, meaning he was expecting Canelo to come in like he had done with other opponents and tear him piece by piece. He said he was shocked that Canelo boxed like that. You're looking for straws to discredit Canelo's win bro. LComment

Here you go Einstein. I just found a link you might find helpful.Comment

And the hidden agenda came to surface. You believe that Canelo cannot win against Mayweather and Sergio on the outside and by not beating Trout on the inside he's showing us a weakness that will be used against Sergio or Mayweather. They still have to step in the ring with him though.I'm forced to agree. Particularly if Canelo ever faces world class operators like Floyd Mayweather or Sergio Martinez. Nah "bro." I'm trying to put into proper context Canelo's chances of beating the likes of Floyd Mayweather or Sergio Martinez. It's called strategizing. Holdon what? He couldn't get inside on a slick fighter, the top fighter and 154, and then preceded to win a decision by out boxing a slick boxer?
What am I missing here?Comment

I think Trout did as good of a job of boxing Canelo as you can possibly do, except he went away from his game plan after the "open scoring" debacle. I think Canelo has a much better shot against Floyd than either Trout or Sergio.I'm forced to agree. Particularly if Canelo ever faces world class operators like Floyd Mayweather or Sergio Martinez.
