    Canelo's cardio

What's the deal with his conditioning? Do you guys think at his age he can improve his conditioning so he can be a more busy fighter rather than fight in spurts.

It looked worse than it really was due to how difficult it is to hit Trout, Trout's style is very hard to deal with.

My guess is he blows up between fights. Hes not a volume puncher. No reason why he should be gassing out.

At 5'7 1/2, 172 pounds is a lot if weight to carry around. Canelo needs to hire a nutritionist or he will be fighting at middleweight inside of 2 years.

Canelos stamina is ok. The reason why he got tired later in the fight because he was throwing his punches with so much behind it. That will drain anyones stamina real quick. But the thing is canelo had to rely on his timing and power to beat a guy like trout. Trout is the type of foghter that is very hard to hit with more than one punch because of his movement.

I was very impressed with canelo's speed and timing. He had to change up because of the guy infront of him and i thought he looked good.

Doing all that bobbing and weaving and loading up on his shots will tire most out. Try going 3 rounds of just that, it's intense.

He will never have a great punch output but given his opponent, weight gain, and maybe the event itself he might have drained his resources more than usual.

In with someone more stationary you'll see his combos again but always only in spots and then a rest period, unfortuante he can't let his hands go more often.

I think one of his main issues is how much he loads up. He puts a lot into everything he throws, and that takes a lot out of you... especially when you miss shots, which he did against Trout. I hope he works on that for his next fight though, he's young so he should be able to improve it. It would be a real shame if he didn't, as that's a main thing that could hold him back in the future, imo.
