The argument that Canelo hasn't done enough to deserve Floyd can't be used anymore

I've complained about Canelo only fighting smaller guys and bums just like alot of other people here. But he beat a legit 154 pounder last night and unified the titles. To me that's enough. Floyd has given opportunities to guys solely based on one big win before. Ortiz beat Berto and got his shot, Guerrero beat Berto and got his. Canelo's win over Trout is more impressive than either of those two wins. Canelo has a huge following which means a lot of money, and now he has his big win. Flowmos can't use this excuse anymore.

It really can't. Floyd dropped the ball when he had the chance to fight Pacman, (actually they both did evenly). But there's no viable excuse now.

Floyd fanboys seem to think it's an easy fight for floyd like pac was. Yet watch how floyd avoids the ginger. I don't think floyd will fight canelo.

Canelo proved he's legit. In reality he didn't have to prove much because Floyd fought Ortiz and Canelo is better then him.

I would be money that Floyd stays away for Canelo. Floyd would have none of the physical advantages that Trout brought (height and reach as well as a bigger frame) and Canelo would not have to respect Floyd's power.
Canelo still has some things to learn (staying with the jab, not lunging forward looking for the home run) but right now he would be a stiff test for Floyd.
He should fight Berto in September then Floyd would have no excuses.

Has Canelo done enough to start demanding a fighter that has been at the top of boxing for over a decade must fight him? No i don't believe he has. Getting a fight with Mayweather is a privilege and he became undeserving when he tried to demand Mayweather sign a contract, Mayweather earned the right to demand Canelo isn't close to doing that.

                1st: "He's not a draw he's fighting on Floyd's undercards!"
                2nd: "He hasn't fought anybody he ain't ****."
3rd: "Canelo is just too big for Floyd"

Looks like it'll stop at 3.

IMO it couldn't be used before the Trout fight. Now what happens is that the anti-Floyd fans can not discredit the win. But before the Trout win, I thought Canelo deserved it anyway.

Victor Ortiz arguably had only one good official win on his resume, and that's Andre Berto. I thought he beat Peterson but let's talk officially.

Canelo had Rhodes, Lopez, Mosley, Gomez, M. Hatton, NDou, Cuello [Before you crap on him, go see his fight with JCC Jr]. You could sh-t on this resume if you want to, but the fact is the volume of B and C class fighters Canelo fought before beating Trout, offsets the lone good fighter on Ortiz's resume. Now add Trout to his resume and he is set.

I agree, but I doubt Mayweather takes the fight unless Canelo loses soon or something.
