I'd rather see Cotto vs. Smith/Molina and Canelo vs. Lara/Angulo next. If they both win, then why not?

Canelo has some serious power. He throws with conviction. I still remember the short compact uppers Margarito landed against him , and those were solid punches but they were not power packed punches.

Have you seen some of the uppers Canelo throws?

Do you want Cotto to die?

        Austin Trout 73" reach
        Miguel Cotto 67" reach

He can hit like a wrecking ball, but he can't reach the bigger, faster stronger fighter who hits just as hard or harder. Canelo walks right through Cotto.

I think it was more trout's movement that made it difficult for canelo to unload his combinations. Canelo had to rely on his timing and put everything into his shots and he landed a lot of them. thats what impressed me, he adjusted to his opponent.

Cotto can move a bit but not for 12 rounds. And he is definitely easier to hit than trout. I just don't see how cotto can win this. Canelo would walk him down and in exchanges cotto is in trouble against the bigger, stronger more powerful canelo.

It's a very good fight, Cotto will provide different style problems.

You have to favor Canelo, but it'd be a good test, not to mention that Cotto is always involved exciting fights.

I'm in the minority here but I like Miguel's chances, always said Cotto stood the best chance in beating Canelo out of the current 54 pounders. Cotto's boxing ability, jab, also think he'll keep turning Canelo, he does have the superior foot speed...I like his chances. Cotto struggled against Trout due to the ranginess, height/ reach and style of Trout, getting to Canelo will not prove troublesome. VERY good fight.

Canelo destroys the guy who got rocked by Judah but this should happen in July on PPV, than Molina-Smith winner in September than Lara in December. The people who want him to fight Trout and Lara back to back are full of it most likely Mayweather fanboys hoping for a bodyguard.

Cotto is coming off of 2 back to back losses, one to a fighter Canelo just edged. Nah, I think he should elevate himself. Cotto now is taking a step in reverse.

Except the accurate and powerful counters that would be coming his way. Cotto is way past his prime while Saul is just entering his. I don't wan't to see cotto get butchered again man.
