Now everyone can beat him lol!!!!

This board is so funny, you ask the kid to fight somebody legitimate at 154 ,said he would duck trout and all that nonsense but the kid stepped up beat the best in the division and now he'll lose to anyone with a name. Looking around the board and all I see is Lara ,Martinez ,ggg, and even vanes would destroy canelo, how about just give him credit and move on. Some people making a case that trout out worked canelo (what ever that means) do understand that Lara throws hardly any punches and just counterpunches but if you learned anything against trout canelo is faster and a lot better boxer than people thought he was.

You know what it would be like this morning with all the people on here hoping, wishing, dreaming that Trout was gonna destroy this kid. Like I said, all that talk was just gonna make it all that much harder to explain how Trout got worked over by a 22 year old kid this morning.

As we see, there is no rationale involved, it's just on to the next guy that we can all hope and dream about beating Canelo as opposed to just accepting the fact that he is much better than haters wanted to give him credit or.

Don't forget Molina and prime Margarito, they are scared, he should run through Cotto, Molina, Smith and Ortiz, than Lara who is his only threat who would face him.

I don't see any positive takeaways from Canelo's performance. A guy that doesn't punch won a decision against a guy that can't hit the target. Nobody deserves props for that. I come away from the fight with less respect and regard for Canelo, despite "winning" in his biggest test.

relax, canelo is a legit 154 lber and had impressive moments but he's also shown some vulnerabilites. i think that lara will be tough for him, canelo ain't exactly the energizer bunny either, he hits hard but fights in spurts. lara hardly punches but is very accurate. ggg, he's also unproven to an extent but the gut hits hard and canelo can get hit. martinez got hurt bad by jr so i think canelo get do the same, if martinez gets reckless. he's shown that he's a good fighter that can mix it up but haters and nuthuggers need to relax and let the guy prove himself in the next few.

Landing 43% of his power shots and handing Trout the first KD of his career tells a different story though.

I think Canelo fighting Lara (I think he beats Perro easy but we'll have to wait and see), Molina or Ishe are all very credible fights. He'll be the favourite of course. I think he does a number on Molina and Ishe, actually stopping them. I don't know about Lara, super impressed with his win/loss against PWill, maybe another close fight like the one he had against Trout. The crazy thing about Alvares is that very few people such a composure and ability to fight when tired and he's only 22. That's the thing that impresses me the most. Not his speed, power, smarts and versatility but his composure. Even when he got rocked against Cotto's brother back in the day he had this composure , he has a crazy belief in himself and provided all the tools and talent that he has, I believe him to be an elite fighter.

Well Martinez and GGG probably would beat him, but they are middleweights.

You do understand he's 22 right. I'm trying to figure out why people expect a finished product from a 22 yr old who has not hit his peak. He will get better not worse. I remember on this board leading up to the fight that canelo had no head movement and couldn't box but that was proved wrong . Again I say he will get better not worse

At 154 I think Canelo can beat most of them now...and the ones he struggles with he will get the decision anyway, they are not going to allow Canelo to just lose to anybody

They won't be able to rob Mayweather in Vegas with a Decision but losing to Mayweather via Slip Decision would be like a "MORAL VICTORY" for Canelo and they would be able to still market him as "THE GUY THAT ALMOST BEAT MAYWEATHER" lol But Trout, Angulo, Molina, Lara all are going go need KO's to beat Canelo
