U guys r wrong for assuming this would be an easy fight. Canelo didn't look good in my eyes cuz he stands there and does nothing all round then explodes with a couple power shots and does nothing again. But u have to understand that his defence is actually good and that's something that makes u take more chances to score on him and Floyd isn't comfortable with that. And Canelo outweighs Floyd by 22 pounds!!

Canelo was landing those solid punches on another middle weight last night but on Floyd's body or head should he land one they're going to do a lot of damage. Canelo is just too big, we seen a whole bunch of fights with guys including Floyd and manny against bigger guys but not like this. Floyd fought Oscar and Ortiz who weighed 165-167 but weren't as physically strong, and that's still only 15 lb difference compared to 22 lbs. And we saw Manny fight Margarito who was bigger but Margarito can't punch and he's defenseless and slow not smart and explosive. I think that's just too much of a size diff to be made

IDK what fight you were watchin, Canelo looked damn fast! that part where stood in the middle of the ring and started bobbing & weaving was very impressive also. Only boxers with superior reflexes can perform like that. I'm surprised no one hasn't ever compared him to JCC yet. He's 22 for christ sake!

This is ******! Mayweather is a 36 year old WW who comes into the ring at 152 at the most. He has no business in the ring with some 22 year old kid coming in at 172 pounds and still growing! Canelo doesn't need Floyd, he just drew a crowd of 40,000 by himself, he needs to create his own legacy now. Not constantly piggyback off of Floyd, If he wants Floyd that bad he should go down to 147. Oh wait, he can't. Just like Floyd can't make 154.. Canelo's nest fight would do just fine against Cotto, Martinez, or Angulo then there's GGG, Quillin...ect plenty of fights for Canelo out there around 154

How much did Floyd outweigh Marquez on fight night, exactly?

Exactly what I've been saying. Floyd's too small for him. If he were younger he could make up for the size difference with his speed and movement, but now I'm not sure Floyd could survive. I'd like to see Canelo vs. GGG. Someone who has just as much firepower as him and how he would handle it would be very telling.

Why would he want Canelo next for Mayweather when he picked Guerrero to beat Mayweather?

Exactly. Now If Floyd came into fights weighing 160 he could get by, but Floyd doesn't even come in close to that, even when fighting at "154" in fact he can't even make 154! Bad enough that Guerrero already will outweigh Floyd by a good solid 7-10 pounds on the 4th at WW. Canelo is simply too big for Floyd

i don't know what fight you were watching. trout stood there and let canelo get away with alot of amateurish moves. mayweather won't do that plus he'll counter that slow crap canelo was throwing.had trout been more offensive mind.he would have easily beaten canelo. mayweather will clearly knock canelo out with a counter punch if he leaves himself wide open like he did last night.

lol is that a joke? Floyd has gotten bigger now and still only comes into the fight at 149-151. JMM weighed in at 142 or whatever and probably weighed 145 at least on fight night. Hell JMM weighed 151 and 148 in his last two fights...he's actually the same weight as Floyd lol so good point....not

Yeah, I'm sure he outweighed Marquez by 30+ pounds on fight night.
