Did Showtime Show Biase?

God damn, you people would b*tch about anything. I've been very wary of what SHO's broadcasts would become as "the Golden Boy network". It got off to a bad start tonight with Brian Kenny fawning over the Ring title, which has now become about as valid as the alphabet titles. However, I felt that the announce crew was very fair and impartial. Hell Paulie was flat out ROASTING the one wide score and the WBC's open scoring system. This was an extremely close fight that could've gone either way. I felt they called it as such.Comment

The Play By Play was a little Bias, he would call all of Canelo punches and just ignore a lot of Trout Punches but I thought Al and Paulie kept it unbias even though I did not agree with their scores...not question Showtime wanted Canelo to win because they can make way more money off of Canelo
Bottom Line the announcing did not effect the way I was scoring the fight so I am going to say OVERALL...NO They Wasn't OVERLY BIAS! But I think the Showtime Broadcasting team kinda sucks without Antonio Tarver and Gus Johnson...at least bring back Tarver!Comment

I'm certainly not a big Mauro Ranallo guy, but he was in an incredibly tough spot tonight. With the crowd being as biased as it was, they would absolutely ROAR nearly anytime Canelo threw a punch that came anywhere close to landing. On the other hand, anytime Trout would land something it would be met with silence. It's really tough as a play-by-play guy to come off as sounding 100% objective when you're in that kind of environment. The Play By Play was a little Bias, he would call all of Canelo punches and just ignore a lot of Trout Punches but I thought Al and Paulie kept it unbias

I thought I saw a couple of times were they gave credit to Canelo for some shots that didn't even look to land to me. Conversly, not calling a couple of good shots that Trout managed to land.
All in all, I thought they were pretty fair. They had Canelo by a point, so I'll let their scorecards give them their credibility.Comment

But lets be honest, with Showtime having exclusive deal with GBP....OF COURSE they want the GBP FIGHTER to win, I mean that is just a givenI'm certainly not a big Mauro Ranallo guy, but he was in an incredibly tough spot tonight. HBO will be Bias to Top Rank Fighters and Showtime will be Bias to GBP Fighters, that is just a GIVEN! Showtime will really kiss Mayweather's ass especially with him having the option to opt out of his deal with show time after the first fight in the deal but Mayweather aleast has the skills to at least now make them look ******Comment
