So what's next for Canelo?

It's not about making him better, it's merely a "starmaking" vehicle. I'll give Canelo one of those. After that, let's see some real opponents on PPV.Comment

I think the smart move would be the winner of Lara vs Angulo or Cotto...he is not ready for Mayweather, I know fans get crazy after fights but that kid has serious stamina issues, he was gassing by the 6th Round against Trout
You gotta have Stamina to beat Mayweather and again I keep STRESSING, IN VEGAS, Canelo is not going to have the Decision already in his pocket going into that fight against Mayweather...your not getting out of Vegas with a Robbery over Mayweather just not happening
So with that Stamina Issue and him likely would have to be much more ACTIVE against Mayweather, I don't see him beating not even a 36 year old Mayweather in September, now if Mayweather looks like Crap against Guerrero and I am sure Canelo and his Team will be waiting to see how he looks before deciding what to do after this fight then that may change things but if Mayweather still looks sharp...I think they hold off to Maybe next year 2014 Cinco De Mayo before going after MayweatherLast edited by KnockUTheFukOut; 04-20-2013, 11:58 PM.Comment

Well there's certainly worse fights to be made, lets hope his days of fighting blown up welters/jr welters is over.
I give credit to Saul, regardless of what you ended up with on your scorecard, Canelo showed he belongs. He showed better D, he fought smart, conservative. He may not have been the busier fighter but he was more effective with what he was doing, his punches though fewer did more damage. FTR, I had Trout by a point.Comment

Agree with you 100%. I had it 114-113 Trout tonight. However, it was extremely difficult to score. Numerous rounds could have gone either way. I don't think there's anybody that can argue that Canelo's punches did more damage. Canelo definitely showed some things tonight that I had not really seen from him before.Well there's certainly worse fights to be made, lets hope his days of fighting blown up welters/jr welters is over.
