Open scoring is garbage.

And judges have no shame so is doesn't even embarrass them into scoring fights properly. It destroys the drama.

I also dislike it. The only good thing about it is, one fighter knows they're gonna get robbed, so they fight harder. On the flip side, Fighter B might just take off because they know they got it on lock. I'm not a fan.

Please someone correct me if I am wrong but i could have sworn they had it for Khan vs Peterson in D.C.
Just playing devil's advocate but i don't think its that bad. Would Trout have been that aggressive in the last few rounds if he thought it was close or he was up.
I have seen too many trainers interviewed during fights that swear its close when their guy is getting clearly beat (most recent example was Danny Garcia telling Kellerman he thought Donaire/Rigo was 3-3 after 6, which was ******). Might as well let these guys know where they are at so the potential loser can go for it in the championship rounds...

Open scoring was implemented by the WBC on championship fights to prevent robberies, it is in effect in every country except in the USA lol and in the USA is where most robberies happen, in the USA the WBC can only tell the corner the official scores if both corners agree to it, I think it's good for the sport.
