And why was he countering more? Because he knew he could play defense. He got the scores too you know and seeing that your up 9 ****ing rds makes it a little easier to take your foot off the peddle. from then out the guy could've without throwing a single punch according to one judge and he was gassing out around the time the scores came in. Imagine if he actually thought he had to work.

Trout knew he could not hurt Canelo..he knew he wasn't going to knock the kid out..the two clear hard shots he bothered to land did nothing but make the kid come back on him. I'm sorry but Trout messed up, could he have won? Yes..why didn't he? You can come up with a million theories..mine..he didn't work the body enough and missed 71% of his shots..end of story.

I had the fight 6 rounds to 6 but with the two point 7th round, I gave Alvarez the fight 114 to 113. Very close fight, but the right guy won. Trout threw a lot more, but the total landed was pretty close, and the harder shots were landed by Canelo. Trout was also hitting a lot of air, I think those two factors were the reason Trout didn't get more rounds.
Two of the cards were understandable, but the one who had it by 7 rounds should never judge a fight again.

You can't win rounds avoiding punches, only landing them.

I'm talking about in terms of perception..when a guy who is known exclusively as a come forward fighter slips 300 punches and manages to outland the "technician" by 9% it plays a lot into the perception of who is running the fight and owning the ring.. Stop trying to be cute and get your emotions out of the way. If Floyd slips 300 punches and lands a higher percentage of punches ya'll are in here calling him the second coming..this kid does it against a clearly superior boxer and it's bad somehow?

My point is before you or I resort to insults i'll just avoid the convo. We don't agree..end of story. Its not a threat i'm a grown man I don't threaten folks over the internet. I thought the 115-112 was good score (I had it that way) and the 116-111 was possible because of the close rounds but 118-109 was nowhere near possible and a real shame that this score has deviated the attention from the spectacular performance Canelo and Trout gave, but Canelo clearly won he landed the harder punches and dodge a lot of punches, Trout couldn't land cleanly and when he did he was ineffective.

Much respect bro! You see your a true boxing fan, not like PRBoxingCotto and El Anjel having so much pride they can't stand when a Mexcian wins.
