I would hope that he would cool it with the arm he strained, or whatever he strained. But your right, it could come back to haunt him in the fight. Hopefulley it won't...

This just part of the gimmicks and the hype as fight comes nearer. No need to panic PAC/Morales fans.

But there is a big possibility that it will come back during the fight or before the fight.

That's the first excuse for Pacquiao if he loses.

Pacquiao says he's now OK after injury scare

Editor's Note: Published on page A26 of the Jan. 16, 2006 issue of the Philippine Daily Inquirer

LOS ANGELES, California -- Manny Pacquiao said he had felt pain in his left arm after a heavy workout here but he did not let it hamper his training.

"Masakit, muscle pain, pero OK na lahat (It hurts, but everything's okay now)," he told the Inquirer after completing his afternoon gym regimen yesterday.

Pacquiao assured everything was fine in his preparation for the second encounter against Erik Morales on Jan. 21.

There were reports Pacquiao had strained his left forearm after it accidentally hit the head of a sparmate.

But Dr. Nasser Cruz, who confirmed the strain, said Pacquiao has recovered phenomenally.

"If it had happened to an older fellow, it would have taken longer to heal," Cruz said. "But Manny is strong, young and takes a lot of supplements."

Pacquiao winds up sparring here Monday morning before motoring to Las Vegas in a convoy in the afternoon.

Handlers said he was expected to complete 130 rounds of sparring in preparation for his battle with Morales.
