  • Comments Thread For: Roy Jones on Mayweather, Rigondeaux, Pacquiao-Alvarado

It was a crowded scene on Wednesday afternoon in Las Vegas, as Floyd Mayweather held his latest open media workout inside of his personal gym.

Mayweather (43-0, 26 KO’s) defends his WBC welterweight crown against interim champion Robert “The Ghost” Guerrero on May 4th inside of the MGM Grand in a Showtime pay per view attraction that figures to entertain.

A few hours before Mayweather’s arrival, another one of this generation’s greats made an appearance, as four-division world champion Roy Jones Jr. fielded questions from various members of the media.

Jones needs to stop kidding himself, a KO isn't just mental it actually does physical damage to the brain.

i agre with jones on everything that he said. he has been down the same road as pacquiao just went. both had chins cracked and put to sleep. with that being said and how roy jones has turned. pacquiao could very well be at the gate keeper stage.

gatekeeper?! pac and roy jones situation is totally different , roy became vournable be cause he went up and down with weight at a advanced age and didnt let his body adjust ! pac on the other hand got caught clean by a lucky punch by a person that has ties with a trainer who has supplied peds and steroids ! the situations are oranges and apples !

I don't think he punches harder than Rios... but he'll land a crap ton more faster and from different angles

I said before I am BIG on consistency. Jones contradicted himself.

Jones says in this article that Donaire was distracted but in the article (video) below he essentially says distractions don't matter and that Donaire is still focused and we're crazy to think he's not. 3:20

I love Alvarado, big fan, from Denver too......but he's getting f**king killed against Pacquiao if that fight happens. Alvarado isn't a slick enough or good enough boxer to straight up box for 12 rounds against Manny.....and when you stand toe-to-toe with Pacquiao for 12 rounds, you get killed, just ask Cotto.

People didn't think Glen Johnson would be much of an issue for Roy Jones either~
